A convo with a (heartbroken) 13-yr old

Lol "when a girl cry it's nothing, but when a man cries you better be worried". I'm a girl and I cry less than most of my guy friends. In fact the couple of people who have seen me cry they're first comment was "wow I've know you for years and I've never seen you cry". I admit girls have a tendency to be more emotional, but it doesn't mean that every time they cry it's nothing. Based on the comment alone (doesn't matter his age) I can tell he is extremely immature and inexperienced with pain and people in general. He has no idea what separation is or how it truly hurts to lose a connection you had with someone. I think the sassyness was definitely needed, and hopefully this kid will start growing up in the next year or so. It may be the most pain he's ever felt now, but it's going to get a hell of a lot worse as the road goes on.
